Hello friends
Just a quick re-cap on some of the fabulous highlights from 2012.....
I'm quite sad to say goodbye to this year.....its been such a blast!
(Lots of photos)
The year Started at the trade show here in the UK
Me and the gorgeous Dyan working our new dentistry
(Ladies as always!)
I got to be elf for the day ......
and to stalk Tim and Mario!
What a fab day!
I also had some of my makes published in Craft stamper magazine
whooohoo!
Then the biggest highlight of the year was being accepted to Ranger U with my buddy Kate Crane!
But before we got to Ranger we hit NYC!!
Here we are working the Thelma and Louise look on top of a double Decker bus!
we met our lovely friend Marjie kemper and gave her a British makeover in a coffee shop!
Thanks Marjie you were such a good sport!
We were told not draw attention to ourselves or to look like tourists..........
(Kate really listened to that advice!!)
We then met up with Neil Walker who had flown into NYC from the UK,
we also gave him a makeover on the train to New Jersey
(theres a moustache impostor there and its not me!)
We arrived at ranger U
and met up with Dyan....it was so good to see her!
I was soooo happy to finally get to meet these two gorgeous friends
our group photo!
In the pub.......getting used to American portions!
(that was a starter honest!)
then it was back home to put into action all that knowledge.....
Demo-ing Ranger products at my local store
I also got asked by Tim to create some samples for the summer CHA
WOW that was a huge honour!
(some of my samples)
I also got to create a piece for the Ranger blog
Here's just some of my favourite makes from 2012
Its been quite an amazing year,
I never ever thought I would actually be able to get on a plane
and fly to America due to my phobia of flying .....but I did
I never thought I would be selected and go to Ranger U.....but I did
I never thought I would be able to do a lot of the things that I have done this year but I have!
Its not been easy and life throws a lot of obstacles to try and stop you,
theres been blood, sweat and lots of tears
but if I can take any one quote to describe
this last year it would be
"When you do what you fear most, then you can do anything"
Which leads me on to a little giveaway....
A set of Dylusions quote stamps (the right words)
All you need to do is to leave a comment
with a quote or one word to describe what you hope for the year ahead....simple
my word for 2013 is
BELIEVE......
I will pick a winner on Sunday 6th January
(I will post overseas)
THIS GIVEAWAY HAS NOW CLOSED WINNER TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON
A huge thank you to everyone who has helped, supported, laughed with me and at me,

ReplyDelete"LETTING-GO" as my mantra for 2013. 2012 was a year where a lot of different kinds of events evolved and I am still carrying them with me. I know I must LET-GO! (I figure if the word is hyphenated, then it counts as just ONE word. LOL)

ReplyDeleteINSPIRATION!
You've had a wonderful 2012, and 2013 can only bring you more precious gifts! Because artists such as yourself have given this to me in 2012, it only seems fitting for me to pay it forward in 2013...
ReplyDeleteINSPIRATION!

ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed being with you throughout the year. It's been quite a ride! Looking forward to seeing you grow even more in the coming year! My word, a couple of years ago was "BELIEVE". I just reflected on that journal and how the word led me on my journey. This year, my word is simply, "BE". It's a powerful word on it's own but also lends itself to teaming up with so many other words. I had fun last night carving some new BE stamps in different fonts :)Happy New Year! Hope I get to meet you this year at AFTH when I'm in UK in September. xxxx

ReplyDeleteWhat a inspiration your art has been since my daughter introduced me to her world of art journaling and creative chemistry ~ Due to my illness and inability to do many of the things I used to do, creating fun art is something I CAN do ~ and I'm having a blast doing it! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that phone ;-) And since art has brought so much life back into my world my word for 2013 is "LIVE" and my favorite saying has always been ~ "Don't follow where the path may lead~Go where there is no path and leave a trail"
ReplyDeleteGreat fun to follow you this year and enjoy all your creativity - awesome! Its been a hard year for us with much family illness and time has been at such a premium so crafting has had a low priority sadly - a great shame as it helps to lift our spirits! My word for this year will be CHALLENGE .... to challenge myself in my own creativity, make progress with new techniques and allow myself that refreshing 'Me time' that I hope will spill out to all the others who depend on me to keep going for them.

I have a weird word for 2013 Destruction. Now people who see it will think is this girl crazy? Yeah, in a way I just might be! lol
ReplyDeleteLast year I started Art Journaling and quickly became aggravated because nothing look good and I quit. This year I have decided to try again. I have been reading Journal Spilling by Diana Trout and she has a quote in her book that really spoke to me.
"Every act of creation is first an act of Destruction" Pablo Picasso..
Now as a scrapbooker I hoard all of my favorite papers, same things with all my journal supplies I bought..I woudn't tear beautiful papers, I would use bead gel, india ink, molding paste, mists very stingily because I didn't want to waste them on something ugly..which I knew was going to happen..
Not this year...
I am going to destroy whatever I think to..use whatever I reach for make, huge messes, some expensive mistakes, and hopefully I will actually learn to create wonderful art. Instead of just looking at it and saying..what if.....
Yep, My word this year is DESTRUCTION :o)
Hello, Kaz. It has been great to read the re-cap your fabulous year. Hope 2013 is even better for you.

ReplyDeleteOh, yes, Missy, I've laughed with and at you.... and you've done the same to and with me! What a treat to meet you in person, Kaz. Hope we will have that chance again, soon. You are a kind soul and your work is some of my favorite, which is why I keep those 'blog content update' emails fresh when the come from you. Even though it may take weeks for me to get here, get here I do.
ReplyDeleteYou've had an awesome year, and so richly deserved. And thanks for sharing the re-cap pics - I'd forgotten about the phone, and it's incredible!
